The Telefónica Foundation and ”la Caixa” Foundation, as part of the ProFuturo digital education project, are launching the Docentes Digitales training programme in Extremadura to offer training in digital skills to the region's teachers.
The objective of the programme is to familiarise teachers with technology so they can use it to improve their teaching practice.
Training is aimed at all teachers working in state-funded and subsidised education in Extremadura, from Infants to Baccalaureate.
Teachers successfully completing the courses will be awarded two credits by the Ministry of Education.

Teachers in Extremadura can sign up for the training programme via the website of the Centro de Profesores y Recursos Educarex of the Extremadura Ministry of Education and Employment.
Course dates
From 12 July to 20 August 2021.
The training programme is made up of three courses, each lasting about 20 hours and independent from each other, so that teachers can take the courses that best suit their needs.
The aim of these courses is to improve teachers' skills in producing digital educational resources to design lesson plans, as well as providing teachers with tools they can use on a daily basis in the classroom.
Through practical and experiential activities in the courses, teachers will learn how to create interactive digital images and video questionnaires that help to improve pupils' understanding of specific curricular content, as well as how to design a digital assessment strategy.
