    The UN recognizes ”la Caixa” Foundation with the special consultative status
     

    ”la Caixa” Foundation, since November 2021, has had the distinction of special consultative status granted by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the main body for the coordination of the economic, social and environmental work of the UN. This recognition is the highest status offered by the United Nations to non-governmental organizations, and allows the Foundation to participate in the organization's tasks, be heard and contribute to its agenda.

  • The EFQM Seal of Excellence; ”la Caixa” Foundation’s Route to Excellence


    ”la Caixa” Foundation has obtained the Seal of Excellence at its highest State level. This award, given by the European Foundation for Quality Management, distinguishes those Organisations, Institutions and Companies that introduce the EFQM Model of Excellence effectively into their management operations and are seen to have opted strongly to satisfy their Stakeholders, i.e. beneficiaries, employees and society as a whole.

  • The innovation of ”la Caixa” Foundation's social projects has been recognised by GO!ODS (Go-Goals)


    In the very first GO!ODS Awards, the Spanish branch of the Global Compact (Red Española del Pacto Mundial), the foremost initiative for sustainability in the private sector promoted by the United Nations, and the Rafael del Pino Foundation have recognised the initiatives Alliance for Child Vaccination and MOM. Ultimate Child Nutrition Plan, both promoted by ”la Caixa” Foundation, as innovative projects that help to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (ODS in Spanish).

    The GO!ODS Awards have been created to reward and encourage innovative projects aimed at achieving the SDGs, thereby inspiring Spain's private sector and promoting collaboration, at the same time as raising awareness of the importance of the 2030 Agenda.

  • ”la Caixa” Foundation is granted a special honour at the UN SDG Awards in recognition of the work carried out to raise awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals and the efforts made by the FBLC programmes to achieve these goals


    ”la Caixa” Foundation has been granted a special honour at the SDG Awards held in the German city of Bonn.

    Through the SDG Awards, for which 700 initiatives were nominated, the United Nations recognises organisations that have been able to mobilise individuals and volunteers to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

    In the case of ”la Caixa” Foundation, the United Nations has valued the work carried out to raise awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals through the "My World" exhibition, whilst also taking into account the contribution made by the organisation's different programmes to achieving the goals.

  • ”la Caixa” Foundation receives the #SomosAyuda Award for its work in society


    As part of the Somos Ayuda campaign promoted by the NGO ActionAid, ”la Caixa” Foundation has been recognised as a socially committed company with the #SomosAyuda Award. This award recognises the social work carried out by the foundation both in the field of international cooperation and also through its social action in Spain.

    With this campaign, ActionAid aims to highlight the power of aid and acknowledge the work carried out by individuals and institutions that help to improve the lives of people in vulnerable situations.

  • EFR Certificate


    Recognition awarded by the Fundación Másfamilia for organisations that have implemented a family-friendly management approach based on continuous improvement and promoting a balance between employees' professional, personal and family life.

  • Distinction of equality “in company"


    The Social Services and Equality Ministry in 2014 has renewed to ”la Caixa” Foundation, , the distinction of equality “in company", as entity  focused on equal opportunities.
